A bit more about the Antwerp´s Cathedral of Our Lady
The Cathedral of Our Lady is the largest Gothic church in the Low Countries and was built between 1352 and 1521.
The 123m. high church tower has dominated Antwerp´s skyline since its construction.
The tower can be seen from most places in the city centre, which makes it an ideal orientation point.
Rubens´ monumental masterpieces the Descent of the Cross and the Raising of the Cross keep enthralling visitors even after almost 4 centuries. Both triptyches can be seen on the panoramas below.
Several delightful statues, gorgeous stained glass, wall and ceiling painting, tombs and a fabulous 19th century organ.
